About Your Team
The Directorate team plays a key role in running the organisation, ensuring that the services my client provides to women and their families are impactful, evidence-based, and truly meet the needs of the communities. The team work closely with the Directors to ensure the voices of women are heard and their needs are addressed.

About Your Role
As the new Chief Financial Officer, you will be an inspiring leader who knows how to bring people together, build strong relationships, and partner with senior management in a collaborative way. Ideally, you'll bring solid commercial experience and a knack for making complex financial situations clear and manageable. Your role will involve driving improvements in financial processes to ensure that my client continues to thrive and grow in the long term. You'll also lead a small but dedicated team, working alongside the CEO to shape the financial strategy of the organisation.

What You'll Do
As CFO, you'll have several key responsibilities, including:

  • Financial Strategy Development: You'll develop a financial strategy that aligns with their long-term goals, including reviewing investment opportunities and advising the CEO and Board on financial performance and risks.
  • Leadership & Team Development: You'll lead, mentor, and support the finance team to help them thrive, ensuring their work aligns with their broader objectives.
  • Financial Management & Reporting: You'll oversee financial forecasting, budgeting, and long-term planning to ensure they remain sustainable and successful. You'll also provide expert advice on financial matters to the Board and other stakeholders.
  • Diversifying Funding Sources: You'll work to identify new sources of funding, reducing reliance on government grants and donations, and advocating for core funding where needed.
  • Risk Management & Compliance: Ensuring their financial processes are secure, compliant, and transparent, and mitigating any risks that may arise.

What the Organisation is Looking For

  • Leadership Skills: You should have a strong ability to inspire and guide the finance team.
  • Strategic Thinking: You'll need to translate complex financial data into actionable insights.
  • Communication: Your ability to explain financial information to non-financial stakeholders will be key.
  • Experience: Ideally, you'll have at least 5 years in a senior finance role, with experience in the corporate sector.
  • Qualifications: A tertiary qualification in accounting, finance, or a related field is essential (CPA/CA qualification required).
