We are currently looking for a dedicated and motivated Behavioral Practitioner to join our expanding team.
Job Description:
As a Behavioral Practitioner, you will work directly with individuals of all ages, helping them manage and improve their behaviors through tailored interventions. You will assess client needs, develop behavior management plans, and collaborate with families, caregivers, and other professionals to ensure the best outcomes. Your role will be integral in providing support, guidance, and education to both clients and their families in a variety of settings.
Key Responsibilities:
- You have significant experience in behavior support, having worked with individuals exhibiting complex and high-risk behaviors in various settings, including forensic environments, Supported Independent Living (SIL), Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA), and at home. You understand the intricacies of behavior intervention and have a proven track record of implementing strategies that lead to meaningful change.
- Conduct behavioral assessments and create individualized treatment plans.
- Implement behavior modification techniques and monitor progress.
- Participate in regular training and professional development.
- We work extensively within correctional facilities, and you would be required to attend these facilities and adapt to these settings.
Qualifications:
- Registered NDIS Behaviour Support Practitioner is a must. A background in Social Work, Teaching, Occupational Therapy, or a related field is an advantage.
- A problem-solving mindset - you can think fast and adapt when things don't go to plan.
- A driver's licence and own vehicle - because you'll be out in the field making things happen.
- NDIS Worker Screening, WWCC, and right to work in Australia.
