Wow what a journey!! It all started with a phone call and a meeting in a London pub in 2000 where Mike Kaye approached myself and Bruce Andrew (RIP) to start a recruitment business focusing on Education. 1st Contact Education was born in May 2001 and as a team of 2 we began a journey which has unfolded remarkably over the last 19 years. In July 2001 we opened offices in Melbourne, Auckland and Cape Town and the company growth was exponential from day 1. In 2005 I returned to South Africa and 1st Contact Education was rebranded Tradewind. That however wasn’t the end of my Tradewind journey as I returned to the UK in January 2014 as Regional Director and responsible for rolling out regional offices for the business. Over 6 years we opened offices throughout the UK making us a truly national organisation and a market leader in the UK Education Sector.

Sunny weather called me once again and in September 2019 myself and my family relocated to Queensland where I have taken up the role of Regional Director and have launched the Queensland Office for Tradewind Australia. The journey has been amazing and its far from over J as we look to establish ourselves as the agency of choice within Community Services in Queensland……….and then beyond.
