About the Role:
Are you an educator seeking a fulfilling teaching position? Tradewind has teamed up with a highly regarded Catholic School in the Werribee area, seeking a dedicated Mathematics teacher to start in term 2 on a full-time basis. There are potential opportunities to teach Methods and Specialist Mathematics, as well as VCE classes if desired. You will be responsible for instructing students in years 7-10, with the possibility of ongoing opportunities in the near future. Don't pass up the chance to join this fantastic school community.

Key duties:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive math curriculum that aligns with The Victorian Curriculum
  • Create engaging and interactive lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles and abilities.
  • Use a variety of teaching methods and resources to effectively convey mathematical concepts and problem-solving strategies.
  • Provide timely feedback to students on their performance and progress in math.
  • Differentiate instruction to meet the individual needs of students, including providing additional support or challenges as needed.
  • Engage in continuous professional development to stay updated on best practices in math education, teaching methodologies, and curriculum development.
  • Collaborate with other math teachers and school staff to share resources, ideas, and best practices.

Skills & Experience:

  • Have unrestricted working rights in Australia
  • Completed relevant Qualifications in Education
  • Maintain a valid and up-to-date VIT registration
  • Demonstrate previous experience in teaching Secondary Mathematics in Australia
  • Ability to provide contact details for two education-based references from within the last 5 years (student-teacher mentors are acceptable).
