Overview

The Program Coordinator, under the direction of the Consortia Manager, is responsible for a multidisciplinary team of Alcohol and Other Drugs (AOD) Clinicians. The key purpose of the position is to ensure the effective functioning and service delivery of the assessment, care, recovery, and counselling across the Goulburn Valley Catchment. The role works in an integrated, coordinated practice with AOD stream and related sectors to provide and integrated catchment wide service response.

Key Responsibilities;

  • Ensure staff fulfill clinical responsibilities with precision.
  • Implement AOD assessment and counselling approaches.
  • Provide leadership, support, and professional development opportunities.
  • Participate in program evaluation and develop strategies for seamless operation.
  • Deliver high-quality assessments, counseling, and support services.
  • Establish collaborative relationships with stakeholders and partners.
  • Conduct dynamic team meetings to inspire innovation and achievement.
  • Ensure thorough record-keeping and compliance with standards.



Essential Requirements

  • Relevant health and or welfare tertiary/degree qualification e.g. in Social Work, Psychology, Nursing or Allied Health Sciences or a Post Graduate qualification or an associate Diploma with substantial experience.
  • Certificate IV in AOD or have completed the required competencies (or able to complete within the first 12 months of employment)*
  • Competencies* in dual diagnosis (or able to complete within the first 12 months of employment). * Refer Appendix A
  • Satisfactory outcome of a confidential Police Check and Working with Children Check. OHV is committed to child safety and is a child safe organisation.
  • Empathy for those whose lives have been affected by problematic alcohol and other drug use/ and or mental health disorders.
  • Possession of a current Victorian Driver's License.
  • Information technology skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
  • Eligibility to work in Australia.
