About the Role:
Attention all dedicated Primary educators! Tradewind is collaborating with a small Catholic Primary School in Albion to offer an outstanding teaching opportunity. This role begins in mid-Term 2 and extends until the end of the year, with potential for further extension. You'll have the opportunity to work with students in the middle Primary years, receiving thorough handover support before starting. Key duties:
- Develop and implement lesson plans and instructional materials that align with the Victorian curriculum
- Establish and maintain a positive and orderly classroom environment conducive to learning, including managing student behaviour, fostering positive relationships, and promoting mutual respect among students.
- Design and administer assessments, to evaluate students' understanding and provide timely feedback to students and parents on their progress and areas for improvement.
- Provide additional support and assistance to students who require differentiation to meet the diverse needs of students, including those with learning disabilities or English language learners.
- Collaborate with colleagues, administrators, and support staff to share ideas, resources, and strategies for improving student learning outcomes.
- Participate in team meetings, grade-level planning, and school-wide initiatives to support the school community.
Skills & Experience:
- Must have unrestricted working rights in Australia
- Must have a valid and up-to-date VIT registration
- Demonstrate previous experience in teaching Primary in Australia
- Experience working with a Catholic school advantageous but not essential
- Ability to provide contact details for two education-based references from within the last 5 years (student-teacher mentors are acceptable).
