About the Role:
Calling all creative Primary Art Teachers! A Primary Art teacher is wanted to join a F-6 school in Wyndham Vale, situated in Melbourne's West, in a full time, ongoing position with a flexible term 2 start. This position is focused on instructing in years 1, 3 and 5, and is encouraging of new graduates, those with permission to teach, as well as experienced educators.

Key duties:

  • Design and deliver art lessons that align with curriculum standards and cater to the diverse needs of primary students.
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages self-expression and artistic exploration.
  • Develop and implement age-appropriate projects and activities to enhance students' understanding and appreciation of art.
  • Assess and provide constructive feedback on students' artistic endeavours to facilitate their growth and development.
  • Stay abreast of current trends and best practices in art education, continuously seeking opportunities for professional development.
  • Exhibit unwavering dedication to ongoing professional growth and development, staying abreast of the evolving educational landscape.
  • Embrace and uphold the school's educational philosophy, seamlessly integrating it into both teaching practices and personal ethos.

Skills & Experience:

  • Must have unrestricted working rights in Australia
  • Maintain a valid and up-to-date VIT registration or be eligible to apply
  • Demonstrate previous experience in Primary teaching/Primary Art
  • Ability to provide contact details for two education-based references from within the last 5 years (student-teacher mentors are acceptable).
