Job Description

Tradewind are looking for a passionate maths teacher to be a pedagogy coach in a vibrant Catholic Secondary school in Marsden Park, NSW. This role attracts a 3 point paid allowance with a mix of teaching, coaching and release. Within this position there is a focus on Mathematics which would suit a coordinator wanting to focus on the development of teacher practice not just compliance.

Within this role you would co-lead learning priorities across the Schools of Leadership and Entrepreneurship. Responsibilities include mentoring teachers, designing flexible curriculum, and fostering student-centred learning.

Role Functions:

  • The Pedagogy Coach:
    • collaboratively leads, mentors and coaches teachers to design flexible curriculum and contemporary pedagogies
    • takes responsibility to enhance learning outcomes which enhance the social skills and enterprise skills required for a changing world; and,
  • builds teacher capacity to:
    • provide relevant and authentic student centred learning;
    • improve student learning through focussed, in-situ teacher professional learning;
    • effectively use data to facilitate learning which meets each student at their point of challenge; and,
    • ensure alignment with the School Vision.

Prerequisites:

  • Eligibility according to the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA)
  • Completed relevant Qualifications in Education
  • Valid Working with Children Check (for employment purposes)
  • Have unrestricted working rights in Australia
  • Ability to provide contact details for two education-based references from within the last 5 years.
