About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced team lead to support a brand-new 24/7 refuge for women and children experiencing domestic and family violence. You will provide supervision, support, and guidance to a team of specialist practitioners and case managers and oversee the operations of the service.


Key duties:

  • Oversee Family Violence service delivery including practice, policy, and guidelines.
  • Provide a high level of professional leadership and line management to family violence case workers and support workers.
  • Provide specialised support and intervention to women and children experiencing family violence.
  • Operational management including rostering, reporting requirements, budget oversight, client brokerage, and resources.
  • Build and maintain relationships with Departmental representatives and community sector partnerships.

Skills & Experience:

  • A degree qualification in Social Work, Community Services, or related field.
  • Proven leadership skills including supervision of staff.
  • Relevant professional experience supporting women and children affected by family violence, including case management and crisis support.
  • Demonstrated experience with financial operating budgets and residential management.
  • Experience in identifying, developing, and working in partnership with others.

You will also have or be willing to undergo a Working with Children Check and a Police Check.
